Compact injection moulding.Compact injection moulding is used for thin-walled parts with the highest surface quality and for finished, structured or grained surfaces. Plastic is injected under high-pressure into the tool. This allows liquid plastic to reach even the last corner in the mould and harden without defects on the surface. At FRIED, it is not rare for a mould to withstand pressures exceeding 30,000 kN. With the so-called "hybrid technology", FRIED offers the possibility of integrating foreign materials in moulds, e.g. encapsulating grey cast-iron hubs directly in plastic. This technique is especially a very interesting economical solution for large series production. |
