Fried develops cab roofs for agricultural machines with ClaasIn close cooperation with BASF, Engel and Claas, FRIED succeeded in manufacturing a large cab roof with a 2 x 2 metre total area using an injection moulding process. Parts of this size were previously manufactured using an SMC process or with sheet metal. It is made possible through application of the innovative injection-compression technology on an Engel injection moulding machine with 32,000 kN of mould clamping force. The significant advantage of the new design is the option of integrating additional elements and functions in a component in the injection moulding process. |

Washing machine doors for Miele in mass productionFor their new washing machine generation, Miele is developing a washing machine door in which plastic parts will be used as decisive components. The injection-compression moulded viewing glass made of clear polycarbonate, back injected with a second component, has a special importance. The washing machine doors are manufactured in a fully automatic assembly process in which different technologies are applied, for example, ultrasonic welding, two-component adhesive bonding, plasma treatment, injection-compression moulding in connection with two-component injection moulding. |
